Plane crash in Gaithersburg, Maryland, kills six

A tragic accident unfolded in Gaithersburg, Maryland, recently when a jet plane crashed into a Maryland home, killing six people. The plane also collided with two other homes, but no one was inside those dwellings at the time.

The Phenom 100 jet had been in the air for 57 minutes, when the plane almost stalled. Although the pilot was apparently able to use the throttle, causing a response in the engine, the plane still crashed. Reportedly, the plane was traveling at approximately 100 miles per hour and the plane's alarms sounded from its computers when the crash occurred. According to witness accounts and the plane's data recorder, the plane was rolling shortly before the impact. However, the data recorder did not indicate that the plane was experiencing problems with its engine.

Three people inside the plane were killed; a mother and two children who were in the house perished as well. Reportedly the mother of the two children died trying to shield her sons, ages 3 and 1, from the flames and smoke. The families of the victims are absolutely devastated by the losses they have suffered.

This freak fatal accident has certainly changed the lives of many forever. When a loved one is lost in an accident, their survivors are left grieving and must somehow find the strength to move on. One thing that may help some is filing a wrongful death suit against the responsible parties, if negligence was the cause of the accident. If a person died due to the negligence of another, their family members may be able to seek compensation for medical expenses, funeral costs, loss of income, loss of companionship and other financial damages.

Filing a wrongful death suit is not easy. There are filing deadlines, and other elements to meet in order to succeed. But with the right help, the families of those killed due to the negligence of another can seek the financial compensation they need during a dark time in their lives.
