Maryland car accident on early Wednesday morning kills one man

Maryland residents may know that when the acts of one driver lead to the injury or death of others, the state law provides a means for victims and their families to seek recourse. Family members may feel lost and confused following the death of a loved one because a death can cause dramatic changes for families and can often leave a family without financial support.

Recently, a fatal crash on 1-95 near Aberdeen killed one man. The accident occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. between two cars and a tractor trailer. Maryland State Police report that a Chevy Cavalier was traveling south on I-95 when it sporadically went onto the right shoulder, then began driving in reverse and back into the travel lanes. When it returned to the travel lanes a pickup truck hit the Chevy, which caused it to be pushed into the next lane where it collided with a large tractor trailer. The man driving the Chevy was killed on the scene and there were other serious injuries. A Medevac helicopter was called to the scene to transport victims to a local hospital.

State law provides the victim of a car accident and their family the ability to file a civil action against a driver in order to recover the costs and damages sustained. In the aftermath of a tragic car accident family members should seek legal counsel from an experienced Maryland personal injury attorney who can inform them of their legal rights and help them determine whether they should pursue a wrongful death claim.

Victims' families have the right to pursue damages to cover expenses related to the death of their loved one and the injuries they suffered. A personal injury attorney can conduct an investigation of the accident, consult with accident reconstruction experts and help families determine whether they should pursue a claim.
