5 dead in catastrophic accident near Maryland

Losing a loved one unexpectedly can be very detrimental to their families. The grief alone can be overwhelming, but the unexpected medical expenses, funeral expenses and loss of income can permanently hurt a family. Pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit can help families recover some compensation for their loss.

Five people were recently killed in a fatal car and motorcycle accident near the Maryland border in south Pennsylvania. An SUV traveling north on Fort Ritchie Access Road crossed the center line and hit a motorcycle driven by one of the victims. The SUV then spun around and was broadsided by another motorcycle. All four people riding on the two motorcycles died, along with a passenger in the SUV.

When a loved one is unexpectedly killed in a fatal accident it is a very hard time for families. Nothing can replace the death of a loved one, but compensation may be available if the accident is the result of negligence on the part of another driver. A legal professional skilled in personal injury liability can investigate the circumstances surrounding your loved one's death and determine if negligence has occurred. Wrongful death claims can result in substantial settlements and help with short and long-term family concerns.

A fatal accident is a tragedy no matter who is involved. Emotions are overwhelming and the financial hardship can be detrimental. A family should know their legal rights when the accident is the result of another driver's negligence in order to determine if a wrongful death lawsuit is sensible.
