Maryland woman runs stop sign and injures four people

All Maryland drivers en route to work, the grocery store, or to pick up their kids from school have experienced the saddening moment when they see a car accident on the side of the road and medical personnel assisting injured victims. Whether an accident is serious or simply a scratch, it can cause major financial and medical issues in a victim's life.

Four people were injured in a three-car crash at 120th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive near Holland, Maryland. A 21-year-old woman from Maryland was driving a Buick Skylark northbound when she allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign. Her vehicle smashed into a Honda Pilot, driven by a 49-year-old man from Grand Rapids.

The collision caused a chain reaction in which the man's vehicle went into the oncoming lane where it crashed into a Toyota Prius driven by a 51-year-old man from Grand Haven.

Four people were injured, each requiring medical treatment at a local hospitals.

Thankfully all the victims were wearing their seatbelts or the accident could have been much more serious.

Victims injured in a car accident may have the option of filing a personal injury claim. Often times, victims incur financial costs as a result of the accident whether they be medical costs, rehabilitation costs, loss of wages, property damage and other financial burdens. Successfully litigating a personal injury claim may allow a person to gain financial reimbursement that will help them put their lives back together following the challenging problems after being involved in a car accident.
