Pregnant woman killed in tragic accident on Maryland's I-95

There are many hazards on the road, whether you are a driver, a passenger in a vehicle or a passenger on a bus. At times an accident may occur as a result of a negligent driver or simply because of a freak accident. Maryland drivers and passengers injured in a car accident may be able to recover for their injuries if someone else was responsible for the occurrence of the accident.

A pregnant Maryland woman was killed when she was driving south on I-95 and her vehicle veered across several lanes of the highway crashing into a Bolt Bus. The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene after her car spun onto the grassy median and overturned several times. The passenger with the woman was also severely injured and was flown to a local hospital. He remained hospitalized overnight in critical condition.

The Bolt bus was carrying 32 passengers. The crash left two of the passengers hospitalized and seven others on the bus received minor injuries.

For the injuries incurred in an accident, it can often be difficult to prove fault. In order for an injured individual to recover from another person or entity, the injured individual must prove who was responsible or liable. To help prove fault injured individuals should also work to collect evidence, write down and collect every document following the accident including medical bills, hospital visits and lost wages, and take notes when you speak with anyone involved in the accident.
